Nothing crazy going on in the healing field lately. Besides people not wanting to be treated by someone without a NEWT in Potions, but I'm used to it by now I guess. Just the usual sniffles, sneezes, and flus. Nothing special, nothing interesting. Lots to do though somehow. I don't know how they keep me so bloody busy, but I'm always on my toes. It's good though, good working, staying busy. More cash, right? Not that it's not great helping people, but that's always at the end, the money, right?
So NEWTS. You'll be fine. You're the smartest girl I've ever known, forget people I've actually dated. Even just doing better than me is brilliant and not hard at all. And I'm already saving to take you out for the best date of your life when you get your scores back. I spent a little of that though, but you'll know about that soon enough.

Busy busy busy. Who knew this would be such a busy job? So I was over with the kids today and was telling a few of them stories to keep them calm. What kid is really calm about being in a hospital? Anyway, I told them Dad's old hopping pot story. Granny Summerby told it to him and her father told her it and his father and his and so on as the wizard blood goes. It's not that far, but it's far enough I guess. Mum thinks it's a cute story. You know the one.
This wizard guy has this pot and he says its magic instead of him being magic and helps the Muggles in his little town. He dies and his son doesn't want to help people, so the pot bugs him until he finally realises he needs to help people and not be selfish. Cool, right? So I told them the story and some kids thought it was great but this one little brat kept going on and on about how that wasn't the story. So I bite, I ask the kid to tell his story. The story his folks tell him is that the Muggles harassed the bratty wizard boy and the pot ate them!
What the Hell? I was floored. Who tells their kids this bullocks?

NEWTS threw me off, but I have an announcement to make. My girlfriend is the best Quidditch player in this whole bloody school! Beauty, brains, and athletic? I'm the luckiest bloke around. If she doesn't have twice my marks on her own NEWTS then I'll eat my own tie.
So we're not just almost done here for the year, we're almost done here forever. Isn't that sodding mad? No more late night study sessions. No more being shushed in the library. Now I'm off to working late and being shushed when I slip in to visit Mum.
It's too bad we can't have one big blow out, but maybe someone can throw a Christmas party sometime or New Years even. I'd be there!

Happy Halloween from the Infirmary! I'm not staying here, they already know that. It's Halloween, who wants to be stuck here for that? Not bloody me. I can't make any real sort of trips, but around the school I can probably manage. I'm all bandaged up like a mummy or something. Perfect for Halloween, right? Bloody hurts like hell, but it all healed up once already. You know last year, those beatings? The spike through my sodding foot? Yeah, that's all back. Not the spike, but that giant bloody hole. The bruises. It'll all be gone though, like that. You recover from something once, how hard is it to do it again, yeah?
I'm fine. Really. Before anyone even asks I'll be just fine. I'll even use that crutch if you really want me to. And I am going to the school party. I'm horribly horribly injured and sugar sweets makes me feel better.

Bloody brilliant date last weekend. When it takes you all week to say something about it? That's pretty brilliant! We walked around town, I showed her all of the good stuff and told her what to watch out for. No ghosts sightings though, but I told her about the row I saw earlier last week.
So, tried to go down to town today and I wasn't allowed. Strange, right? I guess it's the fog or something. It's just a little fog, right? Why's everyone getting so excited?
Alright, so there's a little bit of weird stuff going on. I went to the library instead then to work on an assignment and one of the books I picked up was the wrong book. Told Pince and she told me to stick it with the rest. The stack was kind of unstable. Being the nice bloke I am, I told her I'd fix it. They were all sodding mixed up! My book was supposed to be on those zombie things, you know, inferi. Opened it up, Hogwarts: A Boring History. The other books were even more messed up. I know a couple of the insides were from the Restricted Section. One of them started howling and I closed it really fast, but Pince kicked me out for the rest of the week.
Then after I left it turned out a book followed me back. Books aren't supposed to do that. It started going mad and biting at me ankles. It tore the Hell out of my favourite trousers!
Anyone want to get me that book on inferi still? I sorta need it, but I could get by. Not sure how interested I am in going back there anyway. But DADA isn't really something that they'll cancel or move as far as I see. Herbology should be fun.

Good show at the Quidditch try out guys! And girls. I can't forget them. Josiane was brilliant, of course. Those old Hufflepuffs were wicked! I have faith in Herbert and his Quidditch ways. I see good things for his team. Nothing against the other teams, but well, you know. Houses or not, we were all family!
So. Predictions were a bust? Oh, they'll still happen, but no one has faith in my Inner Eye. It's there. Trelawney loved my predictions. Too bad the centaurs aren't around. Firenze would probably just say I should learn to read the stars or something. You know what I see in the stars? Clouds and stars and that kind of stuff.

I'm really feeling my magic right now. With windows coming to life, I feel my premonitioning juices flowing. Alright, alright, here we go! I have something! the fates are speaking to me!
First, the first two Quidditch games will be awful until the end.
Second, the whole school will be renamed again. It will be Godric's Gallery of Magical Learning because we all know where McGoogle's fuzzy tartan heart lies. I don't have any big problem with this.
One of the Aurors will crack. Smart money is on the one that isn't Cho. Excuse me, Auror Chang.
Someone's cat will eat someone's owl.
I will be terrible at poker for the next week.
Josiane and I will go on another date.
Okay, so I cheated on that last one. Give me a break! I need something to fill my weekdays.
I also see someone questioning my predictions. Nonbelievers are all gits, let me let you all know that before you say anything else. That's all I have for now. Maybe there'll be more later.

So I have to go back? NEWTS fine, yeah. Necessary. I guess. I mean, really they are, but come on. And okay, alright, it's not "going" back" because it's not Hogwarts, but what the Hell is this place? It sounds Scottish. Fay's excited, but she's just a Fifth year. She hates that I'm coming back with her though. She wants to be on her own, thinks she's a big girl. Fine, yeah, yeah, I can get that, but it's just a test. I'm not going to be living there or anything. If I had it my way, they're just give me the tests and I can move along to pick up a job, you know? It's not all bad. It's not even mostly bad actually. My friends are all going, Josiane's going of course, Hufflepuff is still there. House is home, right?

I figured out the solution to all of our problems. Every one of them. It's huge, it'll fix this whole mess! No more blood problems, no more detentions, no more scrubbing cauldrons for Slughorn no matter how funny his stories about my dad and sister are, and especially no more dealing with buggers we just don't want to deal with. Alright, now we get a boat like Durmstrang came in. We can borrow theirs. Slughorn can be captain. I don't know why, I hate Potions and am not taking it but he's captain. Alright, so we'll have a ship and we put all the Muggleborns and the Halfbloods and the kids that don't care about the blood status and stuff. All of us pile on, we take the ship and we just bugger off somewhere secluded. Somewhere tropical, an island, I don't know. Get us all some tropical drinks, nice big straw hats, it'll be brilliant.
Well I like it.

March snuck up on me. Did it catch anyone else? Weird. Valentine's day was a bust, but it always is for us single blokes. I should have just sat back with my mates and left well enough alone. Well, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, right? She isn't that mad at me, but maybe going on dates with friends isn't the best way to fill my time. Especially when they subtly try to find out if you like them and you're stupid enough to think they were genuinely interested in finding out if you liked someone else.
It's better than studying. I hate this Dark Arts class. I don't know how the NEWTS for that's going to go. Am I going to have to hex someone? I don't know if Wayne will stay still for that. Not that I want to hex my mate. I just keep finding socks under my bed that aren't mine and thought they looked like his. I have enough of my own dirty laundry. If the House Elves go on strike, it'll be our own fault. Just like when my mum went on cleaning strike. She wouldn't clean a thing and I mixed up one of Fay's red shirts in with a load of whites. Mum got off strike just too late to spare us all pink under things. I got my ears boxed for that one, but it got her to start cleaning again and now I'm not allowed anywhere near the washer. It is a consolation that Dad hasn't been allowed at one since Flora was born. I'll still do other chores, but the Summerby men just aren't allowed to wash clothes.
I miss Mum already. I'll be happy for the break. Don't care what's going on out there. Mess! Ignore all that scratching out, it's just nonsense anyway.
